Noah Huisman writes from Austin, Texas, where he lives with his soon-to-be wife and a golden retriever who treats every walk as a quest. His work spans two shelves — the Apprentice of Avalon, a historical fantasy trilogy reimagining of the Perceval legend, and This Way to the Stars, a three-part examination of the origins and development of philosophy and mythology — both published through his independent press, Iron & Ink Publishing.
By profession, he is an attorney, which is to say he belongs to the same order as the early scribes and bards, inhabiting and the same mental world as the counselors in medieval courts: a world of oaths, records, and wordsmithing. By avocation, he and his business partners own and operate Squatch Frontier Fitness, a gym built on the idea that excellence is a pursuit of the body as well as the mind, and both are done best in community.
